Ice skating provides cardio training, core strength, muscle toning, joint flexibility, balance improvement, low impact, and stress relief, all while burning 300-650 calories per hour.
An introductory series of five classes will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31 at the Harvey School rink. Classes will be a half hour with a coach, followed by a half hour of skating.
Lessons will be held on Sunday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Harvey School’s Evarts Rink.
The cost will be $145 for five weeks.
Skate rentals will not be available.
